#GivingTuesday

Join us on December 3rd for #GivingTuesday

What is #GivingTuesday?

The first Tuesday in December- following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday is known as GivingTuesday. It is a global generosity movement. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. This movement has grown from this simple idea into a global movement which inspires hundreds of millions to give and collaborate.

How can you participate?

You can give financially, goods, your time, and your voice to charities which you are passionate about. Being generous and supporting nonprofits on GivingTuesday is a way for you to fight for; and support the causes you care about most. If you cannot give financially then you can harness the power of social media and share fundraisers to bring awareness to causes you believe in.

Why is #GivingTuesday important to SOM+C?

At SOM+C we are closing out our first full year as a nonprofit. We have made some amazing strides and we have great stuff coming in 2020. We need YOU to participate in #GivingTuesday and show your support for SOM+C and SOF Medics everywhere. Please give and share our fundraiser on Facebook this December 3rd for #GivingTuesday. Facebook will match donations on December 3rd 2019 starting at 0800 EST dollar for dollar on a first-come, first-served basis until $7,000,000 USD in eligible donations are made on Facebook!

Why should you support SOM+C on #GivingTuesday?

This #GivingTuesday, help those who selflessly sacrifice daily to bring our heroes home. Special Operations Medics are a rare breed, and SOM+C is focused on educational opportunities and support to help these warriors. They attend some of the harshest training in the military, and work tirelessly on their craft; all the while ignoring personal and professional needs. Special Operations Medics are vital assets to the civilian and military community. We need YOU, as every dollar helps us provide the support and resources needed to fulfill our mission.

Sincerely,

Katie Perez

Director
